Every year towards the end of the year on December, Pokhara International Mountain Film Festival, a three day plus film festival is held in the tourist city of Pokhara.

The festival is a non-competitive event that showcases documentaries, shorts, features and experimental films that deal with the subjects of environment, indigenous people, culture, extreme sports, mountaineering and all other issues related to mountains and the communities around it.

The festival aims to bring together locals, tourism entrepreneurs, various stakeholders, filmmakers, students, activists, artists and movie lovers to enjoy the movies and help open up dialogues for the betterment of the community as a whole.
